The Second Day

The second day, to me was the most meaningful day.
The morning when i woke up, I fell onto the cruel concrete flooring and grazed my knee. I took no notice of it until zhiming told me there was a chance of infection. We informed the teachers, and they attended to my wound.
We later went to Pulau Ubin!
The boat was very very fast...
We went to the visitors' centre, and our trainer asked us some questions to test our knowledge on pulau ubin. Some cheated by asking the old man at the info counter...
We had to walk across the island to get to the camp. *sigh*
I had a hard time, being kiasu. I even brought my dirty clothes there! I didnt noe that the journey would be so long, and in the end, it wasnt my legs that really hurt. It was my shoulders, that needed to withstand such weight. I also brought a hand carry bag. luckily, my fren helped me.
Finally, after a long long time we reached the campsite. and unfortunance overwhelmed me.., grr. i got dehydrated. aiya. But fortunately, we had lunch!
after lunch some grps went for kayaking while others, hiking.
Yay! we went for hiking first! at least we wouldnt have to go hiking, drenched.
Ahh... again with a map, we made our way thru.
eeewwww. the path was so muddy. ew! yuck so icky.
we even saw mudskippers!
while making our way thru, we saw an old man, mending a large cloth!
it was a fisherman mending his net! but the best part was still with the other old man, the one with the wild boar and rabbits. His wild boar's name is Jack btw. Jack was in a "Cage" made of bricks. The old man tore a piece of bread and placed it on a ledge. when he was out of my view. a big snout greeted me. Instinctively, i jumped back. oh it was jack reaching for the bread!
The grps out to kayak were still taking a long time, so we stood on the rocks, letting the tide wash our dirty feet and shoes. It wasnt a good idea. Later we sat on a pontoon. Thiz was much better, but my wound hurt... argh sea water contains salt... *Ouch* >_<
Finally after a long wait we got into kayaks that looked like BANANAS XD. our trainers told us, when reaching the barnacles, do not touch them... you should noe why...
wah. aiya suddenly half way on our journey, our kayaks stopped. no matter how hard we tried, we were still stuck. the trainer thought that we were not paddling properly, but in the end we found that a green slimy rectangular shape object tangling the strings that tied the two kayaks together. We had started off first, but ended out last. aiya. but nvm. the position is not impt. what is impt is whether you learn anything...
aahhh, when we returned we had a shower and then we pitched our tents!
yay! it was fun! However, our trainer fell sick... he vomited...
DINNER TIME
we cooked our own dinner. the other trainers refused to help us( they are not even supposed to help their own grp) but some helpers helped to light the gas stove and the makeshift BBQ pit... we cooked and cooked. wah.... in the end, our food tasted good! We kept some for our trainer and gave it to him... He had been dehydrated.
ah. sleeping in the tent was a horrible experience. At least i had a sleeping bag. i was the only person with a sleeping bag. however some irritating people were making a ruckus early in the morning, and in the end i got deprived of sleep. they woke me up at 2am, talking about sick disgusting perverted stuff. some were even shaking their butts. some people from other tents complained to the trainers, and the entire tent got scolded. I am innocent! :'(
ahhh... okay its already 12.30am now. ive got to go so tired. headache... ok. posting again maybe tomorrow(day 3 and post camp activity)
Bye! :D
